The second mug to my collection. I have decided not to buy all the mugs in the series, I think there are 52 of them. I plan on just getting the mugs with the design that catches my eye. Seattle is know for it's Space Needle therefore I bought the mug.
The Space Needle is a tower in Seattle, Washington, and is a major landmark of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and a symbol of Seattle. Located at the Seattle Center, it was built for the 1962 World's Fair, during which time nearly 20,000 people a day used the elevators, with over 2.3 million visitors in all for the World Fair. The Space Needle is 605 feet high and 138 feet wide at its widest point and weighs 9,550 tons.
Seattle's most recognizable landmark, having been featured in the logo of the television show Frasier and the backgrounds of the television series Grey's Anatomy and iCarly, and films such as Sleepless in Seattle.
Seattle is a coastal port city and the largest city in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is located in the state of Washington between an arm of the Pacific Ocean called Puget Sound and Lake Washington, about 96 miles south of the Canada – United States border in King County, of which it is the county seat.
Seattle is the birthplace of grunge music (Nirvana) and has a reputation for heavy coffee consumption; coffee companies founded or based in Seattle include Starbucks, and Seattle's Best Coffee (bought out by Starbucks) and Tully's.
